ARTIST STATEMENT -- REFLECTIONS " the reverence created by the aesthetics of modern technology." My interest has always been in the creativity of Art and Science , to see the meaning in the world around us. On the 4 th July 2005, a NASA rocket was programmed to collide with a comet passing between the Earth and the Sun. In the spectrum of light, passing through the ejected debris, generated by the collision, scientists on Earth identified the presence of the four elements that could have evolved into living entities. This scientific voyage corroborated the Ancient Indigenous Australian's belief in Gai- um - Garm that Life came from the Stars." " I come from a Family of Builders going back to 1722 Moulton, Yorshire and my Father James Digby Percival Kitching was a military trained engineer / builder who built an oil refinery in Hull , UK and was deployed to North Africa. After WW11 the Family migrated to Australia where my father had a secure job to build Kernell Oil Refinery,1952 Botany Bay, Sydney. So the combination of art / science and building / technology come very naturally to me and my Art is the reverence I give to the meaning of life."
